The 8th International Conference on Systems Engineering (CIIS 2025) provides a unique platform for academic and practical dialogue on topics related to Cybersecurity & AI: Building a Reliable Digital Future. Researchers, professionals, and students are invited to submit original research papers that contribute to advancements of Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Informatics, and related disciplines.

All accepted papers presented at the conference will be published Open Access in the ACM Digital Library, following the new publishing model of ACM's International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS).

Review Process

1. Ensuring the Integrity and Confidentiality of the Review Process

CIIS 2025 upholds the integrity of the review process by strictly adhering to the ACM Policy on Authorship and the Guidelines on Good Publication Practice established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any form of misconduct, including plagiarism or improper use of third-party sources, will result in the immediate rejection of the manuscript. All individuals involved in the review process must disclose any conflicts of interest and maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they evaluate. Under no circumstances may manuscripts or their contents be shared with anyone outside the review process.

2. Review of Similarity Report

The General Chairs and Program Chairs review the similarity report to ensure compliance with copyright laws, ethical standards, and to verify that the manuscript aligns with the conference's thematic scope and main topics. Manuscripts exhibiting excessive similarities, improper use of sources, or those outside the thematic scope will be discarded.

3. Assignment of Manuscripts for Review

Once approved for review, the manuscript is assigned to members of the Program Committee or external experts specialized in the subject matter. Each submission undergoes a double-blind peer review, evaluated independently by two reviewers. Reviewers provide detailed feedback, categorizing the manuscript as follows:

• Accepted with minor or no revisions.
• Conditionally accepted, but major changes are required based on reviewer feedback. Revised version is subject to a second review for final approval.
• Rejected due to limited contributions or other concerns identified by the reviewers.

4. Final Decision

The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is made by the Program Chairs and General Chairs, ensuring impartiality and academic quality of the contributions.

      Notification of Acceptance and Reviewer Feedback: Until July 4, 2025

      Camera-Ready Submission Deadline: Until August 1, 2025

Publication and Indexing     

• The Proceedings of CIIS 2025 will be published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS) and will appear in the ACM Digital Library as well as in multiple indexing services. In line with ACM’s new publishing model, all accepted papers will be published Open Access.
• To be included in the conference proceedings, each accepted paper must have at least one author registered for the conference. The organizers will contact the authors to coordinate the registration process. 
• At least one author of each accepted paper must attend the conference, either in person or online, to present and discuss their contribution according to the guidelines set by the CIIS 2025 organizing committee. Please note that papers not presented at the conference will not be included in the proceedings, even if they have been accepted for publication.
• The accepted paper must include the authors' names, affiliations, and email addresses, and must incorporate all the changes recommended by the review committee. The revised manuscript should be submitted in both Word or LaTeX format and PDF format. No modifications to the list of authors or references are permitted.

Submission Guidelines / Lineamientos para Envíos

• The conference only accepts papers written in English. Authors must refer to the Instructions for Authors on the ACM website and use the provided proceedings templates (available for both LaTeX and Word) to format their submissions.
• Papers should be between 6 and 8 pages (double-column format) in ACM style, including the main content and references, and must be submitted in PDF format.
• Papers must preserve author anonymity by removing all identifying information, including the author's name and any personal details, from both the text and metadata.
• Papers must be original, innovative, and unpublished. Furthermore, the paper should not be simultaneously submitted to other journals or academic conferences.
• Authors will be notified of the review committee's decision on the specified date.

Important note to Authors

ACM has introduced a new open access publishing model for the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). Authors based at institutions that are not yet part of the ACM Open program and do not qualify for a waiver will be required to pay an article processing charge (APC) to publish their ICPS article in the ACM Digital Library. To determine whether or not an APC will be applicable to your article, please follow the detailed guidance.
